MACV-SOG Realism gaming, established October 2023, is a gaming community with milsim elements for organizational purposes. MACV-SOG is described as a historical, multi-game, multi-national Joint Unconventional Warfare Task Force (JUWTF). SOG consists of veterans of various backgrounds, including the Vietnam War and is first-responder owned and operated. We are looking to build a strong community of like-minded individuals interested in history and gaming. Keep your politics at the door.

SOG is Hell Let Loose: Vietnam's premiere Joint Unconventional Warfare Task Force. We are a community that values real-life first. If you're searching for a "yes sir, no sir," strict attendance-policy unit, look elsewhere. If you have a love for history, SOG and a variety of games, come on over. If you want to help build a tight-knit community in a new game from the ground up, with a team boasting decades of both real world and milsim leadership experience, now is the time to join.
MACV-SOG is primarily based in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, however, as a gaming community we do play many other games together. When you join, you become part of a tight-knit online family. We're serious when we need to be when it counts, but outside of events you can expect a very relaxed environment.

Basing ourselves upon the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observations Group, (MACV-SOG), the unit operates within a large-scale, combined arms environment, incorporating various elements of infantry, aircraft, and maritime vehicles. We strive to strike the balance between realism and fun, which is why we have adapted the real TO&E of SOG elements to the game environment. As a member of MACV-SOG, you can join any number of our open positions and perform just about every special operations desire one could imagine.

The mission of the MACV-SOG Realism Unit is to establish a Hell Let Loose: Vietnam gaming community that emulates the highly classified and historical environment of the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam – Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG) through use of equipment, tactics, training, and a moral code of conduct. The higher objective of this emulation is an environment conducive to the personal growth of MACV-SOG members in their teamwork, leadership, and morality.
